What our alumni say about our incubation programmes.
The Narwhal Ventures program did everything for me that it said it would! I have a much better understanding now of what it means to build non-extractively and I got to learn from people who are really walking the walk and co-creating the better world we all know is possible.
Alice, Richard and Jutta are exceptionally graceful facilitators and they’ve managed to create a space that held me gently while challenging me deeply.
Thanks to this container, I was finally able to get my business idea out of the scattered notes phase and ready to share with future funders and stakeholders. The progress is tangible and the people the program attracts are deeply inspirational. My fellow entrepreneurs were a great source of motivation and accountability and I’m so grateful to have been introduced to such a talented set of changemakers.

The Narwhal Incubator has been an incredible crash course in post-growth entrepreneurship. Working alongside expert mentors and inspiring peers, we built capacity and understanding to align our missions with long-term viability. The program’s support and accountability pushed us further faster, while direct access to leaders in post-growth entrepreneurship and funding revealed new regenerative pathways and opportunities. It is really wonderful to be part of a community actively working toward public good, social impact, and non-extraction.

The Narwhal Incubator is a deep dive into alternative business models that most people never encounter, including co-ops, steward-owned businesses, and benefit corporations. For anyone who has wondered whether there is a better way to do business, this program is the answer.
Alice, Jutta, and Richard are knowledgeable, passionate, and deeply committed to the post-growth ecosystem. The learning feels substantive, not surface level.
What stayed with me most was the sense that there is a whole world of business structures and values-driven approaches that simply don’t get talked about in traditional business spaces. Narwhal helps fill that gap.

The incubator made me feel a part of a movement for a more fair and robust economical ecosystem, coming from the everyday encounters where I felt very alone in my thinking in a world of profit and growth for its own sake.
Furthermore the incubator helped me develop my business idea from a vague thought to something concrete, and now I know what I’m aiming for and why.

I had no idea what to expect from Narwhal’s Incubator. I had an idea in my notes app, I’d seen the advert and I decided to give it a go after a short call with one of the team which felt genuine and encouraging. I wasn’t being coerced into paying for a programme I wasn’t ready for, I was pushed to build my idea, which was exactly what I needed.
My application was successful. The sessions were well paced and developmental. The cohort was international, insightful and friendly. The guest speakers had a lot of variation and breadth of expertise from the post-growth ecosystem.
Richard, Alice and Jutta have lots of experience and authority that I could draw from. You should do the incubator if you’ve got an idea but you struggle with spinning too many plates. The structure, community and insight will help move things forward. The programme isn’t going to make you rich, but it’s an enriching experience and a great learning journey for anyone interested in building businesses or post-growth futures.

Narwhal Ventures stood out to me since I knew about them during one of the masterclasses of the Regenerative Economy Lab. Joining the incubator was a great opportunity to meet and discuss a lot of ideas with an amazing community of dedicated impact makers.
While I came in with already a clear idea of what I am doing and a business model, the ample inspirations and the feedback I received helped shaping our idea into a more concrete pitch at the end of the program.

My time at Narwal Ventures was an incredibly fruitful eight weeks. I learned that there is more than one way to be a successful startup founder and entrepreneur, more than one kind of startup or venture you can create, and that you can be deeply successful without having a negative impact on the people around you, society, or the environment.
The learnings I got from Richard and Jutta, as well as Alice, were incredibly valuable in opening me up to different perspectives. But truly, the most important part of Narwal Ventures is the fellow cohort members you meet. Their experiences, whether they have built startups before, are at a later stage, or are still at the idea stage, give you perspectives that few other incubators can offer successfully.
It was truly a life-changing experience and one that I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone applying.

For me, the programme was an experience of genuine accompaniment, where the team held a strong sense of responsibility while allowing us to remain responsible for our own projects and processes. I felt that they genuinely cared about the projects we brought, and this was visible not only in the sessions but also in their presence and attention beyond them.
The programme gave us space to ask questions, challenge assumptions and rethink what we were creating, always from a place of care and with the intention of helping the work evolve. Sometimes that meant letting go of things we had created or thought were important, but doing so in service of what the project was actually trying to become. I valued this combination of care, challenge and trust, which made the programme a meaningful space for both the work and ourselves to become.

The incubator programme was really helpful to shape my idea, and turn my initial thoughts and assumptions into a concrete initiative. I left with a much clearer picture of what to focus on next through the guidance of the Narwhal team and the thought leaders they invited into the programme to speak to us.
My peer group was really beneficial, holding me accountable and allowing each of us to form and grow our concepts in a supportive environment. It was really insightful to join a programme that doesn’t only focus on 10x growth and revenue in a product or service.

My 8-week journey with Narwhal’s incubator cohort from July to August was an incredible experience. The programme goes beyond theory, offering rigorous, hands-on training and mentorship that helped me sharpen my vision and build strong execution strategies.
If you are an entrepreneur looking to test your limits, gain invaluable industry insights, and scale your venture, joining this incubator is one of the best investments you can make.
